That's great, suck it HBO!
I checked several stories and couldn't find when we will have access to the content though, they haven't disclosed the terms of the deal:

One article I read mentioned something about '1 year after theatrical release'.

From the article he links to: "The Weinstein agreement will give Netflix some films within a year of their release in movie theaters."

Off course, "some" and "within a year" leaves a lot of wriggle room for what and when titles will be available.

Great Oatmeal cartoon relevant to this topic. I did notice yesterday checking "Coming Soon" on Vudu some old 30's and 40's movies and yup they're Warner Brothers titles. Now I'm wondering if these are going to be "rent" or "own"? A bunch of past episodes of HBO are now available as "own" on Vudu (but not "Game of Thrones") but geez I only want to rent.

You can rent some older WB titles on Netflix but never streaming just discs. I guess they think their strategy works but how would they know if they haven't tried anything else? And the manager at the now defunct Hollywood Video store told me that they had to return rental discs of past HBO series they had rather than selling them.
