I work for an Embassy overseas so downloading is simple. Find the torrent. download, enjoy.

I am not really sure what restrictions I will have once I return to the states but I figured I would ask here. I have a fairly large (32TB+) media collection and as more shows and movies are made I want to add to the collection as the family and I have regular movie and TV show nights. I also RIP my own Blu Ray movies and I hear that this has been deemed illegal, however stupid that may sound.

So what are my options once stateside again???

If what your are doing is illegal then posting such questions here at AVS can get you suspended or booted from the forums.

Many Ultra Violet titles have the option to download a copy. There may be other services that allow you to download a copy that you purchase.

Even tho I have many UV titles, VUDU, Amazon Prime and Netflix (disc & streaming) there is no interest in non physical ownership. I want my A/V at its best which means Blu-ray disc for now and 4K Blu-ray disc in the future.

You can download purchased movies onto PCs from Amazon, VUDU and Xbox Video; probably also CinemaNow as it started as a download service before streaming. You can download 1080p video from VUDU but not with digital 5.1 sound as yet; Xbox Video and Amazon downloads will have DD 5.1 sound if the title features it.
