Hey guys,

Is there such a thing as DRM Free video download service?

I usually prefer DVDs or Blu-Rays since I can then watch them anywhere, but a lot of things are not available yet on blu-ray such as new episodes of TV shows.

I have used Itunes in the past for some TV shows but their videos are in a format that can only be played in Itunes and on a few apply devices and that really sucks. The quality is great though.

Does anyone know of a DRM free download service? I have heard of Amazon video being good, but from what I hear it has DRM too.

If there is not then are there any video converters that can convert your DRMed videos into generic MP4s? I'd like to actually own the videos I buy without all of the restrictions and limitations. Thanks a lot!

I don't think that you'll ever see (legal) DRM-free commercial television or movie downloads. The studios are far too paranoid for that.

Darn. Guess I can wait for the Blu-ray then, unless there is a way you can convert Itunes movies you buy into mp4s. Thanks though.

There is software to remove DRM from iTunes videos, a search on Google shows some articles to get you started, it looks the Lifehacker site might be a good place to start.

"Bring out yer dead!".."Wait I'm not dead yet!"..(Sound Austrian here) "WRONG !!" (You know what happens next..)
