Cool

So this thing has been postponed till next summer, however they are opening up a New Soho in NYC their second there, LUDLOW house.

Long story short they were treating a long narrow room like a living room of sorts by placing a small screen in the middle of the long wall with a smiley face curved seating arrangement for 12, last june i suggested laying out in cinema fashion and Jay did a floorplan and elevation. The idea appeared to have fizzled out until 3 weeks ago, Dan the USA it/tech manager for USA called me saying he could not find the email I had sent him, so I resent and....

Somehow my drawings landed on Nick Jones Desk and in a meeting with Marcus Bridwell (who had opened up the Miami Beach Hotel back in 2010 and picked me to do the reald passive rear projection barco rig),
he is now charge d'affairs for cinema design, in addition to being the right hand man for nick.

So I hear that Nick said "Now why didn't anyone think of this before?", and Marcus said "I know this guy", Nick said "let's pursue it!".

So in-house architects came up with this, which would not work.

AND THEN DECIDED TO FOREGO THE FOOT STOOLS...

THE SIGHTLINES WONT WORK EITHER

And then in conference calls with Jay this is the basis for what they will be moving forward with.

No no bar in back folks, floated idea and quickly was sunk.

No one is quicker and more knowledgeable in platform heights, seat heights, human average dimensions, and sightline analysis than this cat, he turns these drawings around while we were on the conference call, which Marcus was in it, I had not heard from him since he took of to open the Mumbai House in 2011. It is good to be in this game again. TBC
