That's very interesting, thanks for the input.

The lack of comb filtering is very impressive, as shown on their site:

This shows why a perf screen can sound so bad.

This would not solve the lack of imaging you get with speakers set up close to the wall though.

While not even close to your epilogue system I did a triple confidence 4 system at Helene ( with an smx 2k screen) that acoustically images fantastic, has excellent tonal quality and presents a large stage with good pinpoint imaging, the back ports are only 4 inches from the rear walls. Several acoustician and recording engineers attest to the effectiveness of this setup. So in theory it can work well , without eq.

I don't doubt that, thanks to the fact that it does not need EQ, this will sound pretty good for movies.

im glad to see there is an acoustically transparent screens out there that give an image quality that is near that of non-transparent screens but without the draw backs of a small screen size to accommodate speakers in front of the screen. and of course (most important to me) an AT screen that doesn't really negatively effect the sound quality.

I was trying to weigh out the benefits and negatives and i had resolved myself to a much smaller screen size then what I wanted because i had to go with a non AT screen to get the image quality I really wanted. plus the idea of locating my speakers behind a screen really didnt sit well with me because I knew there would be a negative effect from having the audio pass through the material.

very cool! now i can have good audio and my 20 foot wide by how ever tall screen too.

I might have missed something but where can i see Peter's video?
