Looking forward to seeing one of these in action. Especially if the contrast is any where near their home D-ILA models which is to say spectacular! Hope it's brightness isnt an issue.

Wow! Can they compete?

No subwoofer I've heard has been able to produce the bass I've experienced in the Corps!

Must..stop...buying...every bluray release...

The small sony to give it a run for the money is SRX R515 (introduced in barcelona, shipping depends on country, but try Q3 2012)
-4k resolution
-6 uhp lamps
-IMB
-full dci support
-up to 15kLm
-price comparable to bigger 2k models of competition

http://www.pro.sony.eu/biz/lang/en/eu/product/dcinemaproj/srx-r515/overview

no 4k HFR but thats expected

It does not seem to support 1080i/60, nor 1080p/60. That makes it unsuitable for home theater.

HDMI and specified 2K 50/60P, I would expect it to accept 1080P, considering it is targeting the small screening room. Plenty use of 'alternative content' in those theaters.

Yes, I see that the specs have been updated with 50/60p support.
