I just looked at the NTIA's list of approved Converter boxes and noticed two new magnavoxes on the available list. Does anyone know anything about these two new boxes, Magnavox TB100MW9A * and Magnavox TB110MW9 *? Are they better than the other two magnavox converter boxes?

there is no diff btwn the two units except that the 110 unit is the newer model with better compatibility with stations and such. It has a newer firmware for better interoperability. I spoke to the magnovox CSR directly to verify this before buying mine and it works great. Hope this helps.

The MW9A includes analog passthrough. For all intents and purposes, it's exactly the same as the Magnavox TB100MG9 and the Philco TB100HH9 except that it is black in color instead of gray or white. They all appear to share the same components, but firmware will probably vary slightly simply depending on manufacture date.

Ha! Yeah, you're right -- Quess that's what happens when you reply to a forum while sitting on a conference call and having a side conversation all at the same time!

Is that anything like Jimi Hendrix singing "'S'cuse me, while I kiss this guy"?

I was in the Sam's Club in Murfreesboro TN today and noticed that they had a Magnavox converter box for $44.95. I did not write down the model number, sorry. This was the first time that I had noticed that Sam's Club had any coverter boxes.

I believe Sam's is carrying the TB110MW9. This one may not have analog passthrough, but I haven't taken any time to look at it in any detail. I believe it is the same as the TB100MW9, but just a different model number for a different store like they often do with these types of things.
