The Italian one (3D/2D same as the UK one) was on sale for just 10 EUR for long. The UK version is available for 12.5 GBP.

Blu-ray : 340

Broke down and bought this, watched last night with the family.
Gosh what a great movie, really!
Loved every minute of it.
My 3 kids, ages 12/10/8, clapped near the end when Captain America saved the Allied prisoners from Hydra and marched them into the allied area.

It was past 10pm so today we need to watch deleted scenes/other on the disc.

Saw it in the theater, then rented it on redbox, now I want to buy and even Amazon wants $29.99 for it!

You think that's bad? They want $50 for the 3D edition. Paramoint has always been a rip-off. In the laserdisc days, they'd charge $40 - $50 for a movie that other studios would charge $25 - $35 for.
I've been put off by the price, too. Captain America: The First Avenger Blu-Ray 3D is $38 on Amazon, $35 at Best Buy, and $40 at Walmart. Meanwhile, the successor, Captain America: The Winter Soldier Blu-Ray 3D is only $20 on Amazon, $25 at Best Buy, and $20 at Walmart. That's almost double the price for the older movie!

Both movies are from Walt Disney, not Paramount.

I believe the first film was not via Disney. I don't think Disney picked up Marvel until later than 2011.

OK, this is interesting. I was going off Amazon's publisher information for the 2013 Blu-ray 3D set. Amazon lists the publisher as Buena Vista Home Entertainment. Wikipedia says Buena Vista is a subsidiary of Walt Disney. But, Amazon lists the publisher for the slightly older 2011 Blu-ray 3D set as Paramount Studios. I was wondering for a long time why there were two nearly identical Blu-ray 3D sets for the same movie. Now I know.
