Even if you don't like the plot, or even think it had one; it is still a visual and sonic treat. The soundtrack, and LFE are insane!

I've watched the opening scene, and the pawn shop one at least 20 times already.

Sound track was good! but getting it all to gel with the rest of the material is another story all together. The potential was there! but the many roads the movie took, failed at one to many turns for me

didn't like it that much.

very violent, and the "hero" seems sort of anti-hero...meaning I never really associated with him or felt attached to him.

Watched for the second time today. Really like this one. The soundtrack is great - appreciated it more during the 2nd viewing.

On the flipside, I can see where it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Reminds me of the movie Crash.

This movie is nothing like Crash. Drive is far superior. But they have nothing in common other than the fact they take place in LA

I think that's the point.

For folks that dislike shaky, handheld camera work have no fear - there is none (or very little) in Drive. As others have pointed out, it is quite violent at times.

Agreed with Ralph, top notch picture and sound.

I know I'm late to this movie. Caught tonight. This was the best movie I have seen in the past 6 to 8 months. Fantastic!!

I thought the acting was superb by all and the score was awesome!

I need to pay more attention to these reviews. I would have picked this up months ago! It stayed with me even after it ended. This is rare for me.

Rick

As noted in earlier posts here, I have gradually come around on Drive. I now think it is a very fine film, so much so that when I found the BD on Amazon for about $15 I bought it. Looking forward to seeing it and hearing Refn's very interesting commentary again.

Not being a big fan of Gosling, I was planning to pass on this one but ordered it anyway after reading Ralph's review. Now that I've seen it, I'm glad to have it in my video library and think more highly of the lead actor than I did before. Mulligan performed admirably as well.

Thanks for taking the time to review it for us, Ralph! cool.gif

Nice review! I bought this as soon as it dropped. I mean the way every scene was shot was enough to pick it up anyway, but seeing those slow-motion shots in full high def, crystal sharp made a ton of difference to my enjoyment factor.
