Greetings,

The Dark Knight Rises" is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive. Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good. For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda. Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile. But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.

Own it on Blu-ray Combo Pack or Digital Download December 4

Look for our Blu-ray coverage as it gets closer to street date!

Regards,

Ralph C. Potts

I'm in. I remember seeing the 20 minute teaser in New York's largest imax screen before the start of Mission Impossible 4. No intro, just went into it and no mention that we're seeing a batman picture until toward the end of it. Captivating. Didn't see the Batman movie in theaters after that intro; purposely lay in wait for this moment to get the Blu-Ray. Thanks for the head's up, Ralph.

Yes, I can't wait for this release on Blu-ray. The only question is which version of the Blu-ray movie I will get. I think the Target Exclusive Digibook with the BANE cover will be my choice. I saw this movie twice in theaters, something I haven't done in probably 15 years if ever.

Sorry, but yawn. I saw it at the theater, more plot holes than swiss cheese. And maybe Im being too tough, but Nolan can do better. Worst of the 3 IMO and far behind TDK.

I wont be buying this on Blu.

Ralph, you could score this BD a 10 for video and a 15 for sound and I would still buy it day one. biggrin.gif

Loved (and hated) it in IMAX. The story is everything that you want and don't want at the same time. I don't want to give anything away, but it is a MUST BUY. I am sure that it will get the appropriate treatment when transferred to BD. I look forward to your review of it when you get your copy.

His fist cut was 40 mins longer. Then they trimmed more to make it more suitable for theater vewing. I wish Nolan would realse the first cut like the extended LOtR. But sadly he refuses too. Would probably solve a lot of character development / plot issues.

Agreed. I was a big fan of the Bane/Batman graphic novel, probably woulda been better as a two part movie filmed back to back.
