I think the big Toe and I were just responding to your question more than anything...it's all good, though.

No worries fellas! smile.gif

Watched this film last night and thoroughly enjoyed it. Not sure how I have never heard of this event before, but it was an amazing story and really well done movie I thought. It was amazing to me how similar the Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
actual crash was and the reenacted movie crash. I watched the actual crash on youtube and it is crazy how close this was with what they did in the film and just goes to show how good the attention to detail was
. A/V was fantastic and nothing to complain about there.

I've only heard them at Indy. They were at full throttle for 22 seconds there, no other track had that much full pedal down time. That sound echoing under the grandstand was ear piercing. The GP bikes sound very good there also:D

Up until 2006 hubby and I went to the Canadian GP every year. Our seats were on the start/finish line. Montreal is a fantastic city to visit. Just outside of the city in St -Jean-sur-Richelieu is the Gilles Villenueve Museum dedicated to the late Canadian Ferrari driver.

He was a great driver, and a great guy. I watched Jacque at Indy a few times, excellent racer. I would love to go to the F1 race in Montreal.

Montreal is very easy for us as we are in New England and the exchange rate back in the 90's was exceptional. Now? Not so good mad.gif

The movie had it's flaws but overall was enjoyable. Having the volume cranked for this movie is a must and the engine sounds alone made me not regret the purchase of my av system. This movie alone is amazing to listen to.

Just watched Rush, now i want to revisit Le Mans (Katzin) and Grand Prix (Frankenheimer).

The scenes where Lauda and Hunt verbally spar are spot on as well as the racing scenes which capture their emotion.

As a sporting event i would have like to see some high camera shots showing all the cars on the track.

Thought the nude scenes were "obligatory" - will leave to others to debate.

If you rent from Netflix, not one extra feature. Really silly, not like i would buy the disc to get the extras.
