Time for an update! Sorry for the pic quality, taken with the 1M camcorder (Judy has the camera on the east coast).
Well the drywall was stocked today 75 4x10 sheets (5 extra) and a case of OSI 175! It sure seems like to much but, it seems like I thought that in my old house basement project ended up just right.
All the wires are really done now! I added 2 more zones (2 grafik eyes- 9 zones planned) for the outside marquee and lighted frames on each side as well. Quick question when I wire these two together they work as one correct? What I mean is I can add all the zones into a single scene…. A bit more on the GE’s- I am going to mount them in the equipment room and use an entrance control. If needed I can use a third box for all the NM 12.2 which should work out pretty good and aesthetics not near as important being mounted in there actually should look pretty cool side by side.
Also duhhhh! I was having a beer looking about and it hit me like a ton of bricks! He stupid your door jamb is like way to narrow! The existing door is a high quality solid core masonite door but has to go. I will widen the rough opening for the equipment room and use it there.
As I mentioned above I am going to do a lighted marquee entry now, I wasn’t planning on this until a few days ago and here is my initial plan (please excuse the very draft diagram)
Question now that I am going to go with a new door do you all think it should swing in or out and left or right swing?
I know there are a ton of threads on doors but what should I order? Safe and sound? Or is there something other I should look at?
I am planning to install prior to hanging any rock so I can cut to fit, this is the right approach don’t you think? This may slow down the rock hanging a bit but what the hell I have been LOGANED!
The other issue I need to deal with is the central vac. It is in the correct position for the front left column but I need to whack off the inlet and move the tubing a bit. Not a big deal just having a problem finding the parts. Do you guys think this will look ok in the column? Any suggestions on this?
The only minor things left is cutting a hole for the 4 inch HVAC return for the equipment room and the 8 inch for the main room. The room was roughed for a square return at the floor. Need to change to accommodate the sound isolation issues shown in the diagram in a previous post. This will ultimately live in the new soffit.
I already ripped out the existing supply and it is ready for the flex vent
Well that is about it for now!
