I believe 10k is about 6.2 miles. This 5.2 miles is just the distance it happens to be around the lake on non-dead end roads. I fear I may be timing with a sun dial rather than a stop watch but we will see.

Not much to report but I am getting the bug to finish the wet bar in the game room. If I wait for the wife to stop spending so much money so I can save up for the project, I may be doing this in my retirement. She can generally get her mind around paying something off but not for saving for it.

I have to work tomorrow, then off for ten days. Back to work for 5 days then off for another week. Due to the fact I will need to special order cabinets, I don't expect to finish any of this but I would like to get the ball rolling again.

Man, that took longer than I thought it would...

Progress??? If painting 3 register covers and installing them counts... Progress is progress.

Now for the two steps back...

For those of you that have been around a while, you may remember this.

After backing into the trash cans several times and taking out two different tail lights the wife backed into her sisters brand new car.

This weekend, the Mother-in-law made the mistake of parking in my drive way only to have her daughter back into her car. Note: the little white car behind the red one is the repaired sisters car...

The wife's van took a bit of a hit as well this time. Many of the scratches have been from previous encounters (that I never fixed... thankfully) but this one put a nice little dent in it.

I think I need to come up with a sign for my garage door and says something to the fact of "park at your own risk".

Man, that took longer than I thought it would...

Isn't the definition of "crazy" doing the same thing and expecting different results? So, why are people still parking anywhere NEAR Mrs. RPH Drew?

A very good question indeed. The only time I ever park in the drive way I really don't part in the driveway... I part mostly in the lawn... and... if I plan to leave it there for any period of time, I park down the street in the weeds.

I was thinking of sometype of bumper sticker for the back of the van the "suggests" people not part behind it with arrows to the all the bumper damage.

Another update... say it aint so...

I came up with another little "fix". I still get a significant amount of light through the game room window blinds that spills into the theater. I went to one of the big boxes yesterday and had them cut me a pull down shade. I pulled the blinds, installed the shade, then re-installed the blinds infront of them. Works pretty good. Now I just have to do the other two window.

Man, that took longer than I thought it would...

I was a "victim" of my MIL's backing/reversing ability as well as two others. I learned after that to park far off the into the grass if I did not want to be hit. I have also been a "victim" of my fathers backing abilities as well. So I have gotten it on both sides of the family.

Of course there was the time my mom tried backing out of the garage with the door down (luckily we got her stopped before she did any damage), and the time she did not pull in far enough and shut the garage door on the family van. DOH!

I feel your pain, hopefully you have become friends with your local body shop manager.

I almost forgot to add MRS. RTROSE has also added her "touch" to our garage when she pulled too far in and left a perfect matched indention into the drywall with the front license plate bracket.

Regards,

RTROSE
