Not that I have SMX screen I would like a projector with the WOW factor. The panny doesn't do that anymore...This hobby is quite the sickness. I wish you still had yours for saleDo you recommend Avs for pricing?

By the way how's Vegas? winning big?

I am not sure how the rs10 compares to the panny, but I would imagine it's a little brighter when calibrated, better colors and better blacks.

I'd highly recommend AVS. Call Jason

They're the same thing, 350 is the consumer model, rs10 is the professional model.

Don't worry about the rug. I think it's a mini contest to see who can have the ugliest carpet in their theater. I think casinos do the same thing.

There's got to be someone near you in NJ that has the projector you seek. Someone be a pal and tote it over for him. You'll get the benefit of seeing your projector on his screen.

If you end up getting the other one let me know. I think I like the 3000 but I was holding off for hdmi 1.4 (i'm a bit excited about 3d). I'd reconsider if I found someone practically giving away the 3000

I hear ya, man everytime I look at it I want to puke
I'm very close to pulling the trigger on the JVC just waiting to here from Jason AVS. That would be sweet if I could give it a test drive in my theater but that would be asking for alot.
If your interested I'll let you know. I wonder how far out HDMI 1.4 will be available something I would look into also.

I would love to go with the Panny 3000 for my first projector (working on my build now)...only problem is a new one doesn't fit the budget. Contact me if you pull the trigger on the JVC!

Did you get a lens with the RS20 or are you going to be zooming?

if you are going to zoom, I'll be curious to know how much you miss the lens memory feature on the Panny (and if the picture quality and price are worth it).

Manny --

I have the RS20 -- and although it is projecting currently on a bedsheet upstairs in the bonus room -- it is already an amazing projector. I wish it could be a bit brighter but other than that...it is probably the best bang for the buck for mid-level 1080p projectors.

You'll love it.

Sweet theater Jamis
I didn't get a lens yet, probably my next investment... I will post what I think of the RS20...I was just watching IRONMAN again next probably Transformers.
The Panny is a great PJ for the cost, will just see how good the RS20 is. hopefully its everything I was told & read about....

Thanks John, I really hope so. I heard lots of good things about the RS20.
Another plus is that you decided to purchase one

Hows the build going? I see you received some goodies...sweet!

Today I will be attaching black GOM panels to my columns. Hopefully it will give the room a different look. The royal blue color bothers me
Also have to add an extension to the PJ shelf, RS20 is much longer than Panny...

No pics here. Maybe I'll take some. I need a new house with better space. The way prices have been going it might happen!

My bits aren't awe inspiring.
InFocus sp5000 (720p/1080i LCD)
Mustang 92" screen (it's just okay. It's AT but a decent painted wall performed at least as well)
Yamaha RX-V2700
JBL Studio series speakers (3xS310II up front, 2xS36II rear, Giant old Fisher speakers for the surround. I've actuall got the S-center, an extra S310II and two S38's I threw into a second system that didn't work in my main space)
I feed it Digital cable and PS3.

My theater feels so confined in my little city rowhome
