The radio station i worked at in college (and still do some stuff with) is doing some renovations after they had a pipe burst in what i would consider a non-essential area of the station. But since it's a school, it's the scorched earth syndrome, everything out, all new in. (go taxes go!
Point of the story is, i ended up getting about 20 4'x8' sheets of 2" sound deadening panels from their performance studio. This room did not get wet save the carpet right by the door (leaked under the door). The panels were hung on the walls about 4 inches off the ground, never got wet.
Now, the fun part (besides getting all these things to my house 50 miles away). I have a semi-unfinished (semi being no walls save for a bathroom) basement theater. Would these panels be of any use on the ceiling as a temporary fix for my extreme dead zones due to concrete?
Any other ideas where to use these things would be great... in *my* theater, not yours.
