I used this forum to help in my decisions and wanted to pay back a little. Here's a short blog on my project.

Hope someone finds it helpful!

Interesting reading, couldn't help but laugh when you said you pushed it out with a stick.

In your blog you mentioned using GG around the seal of your door. I wouldn't. Just use caulk instead.

"Oh! I should also add that I didn't have a gun to squirt it out, I just used a stick to push in the back and that worked fine."

Just like BigMouth, I got a good laugh about that. You might think you will never need a caulk-gun, but they can come in real handy. A cheap one at the big box stores are only $3-5. Thanks for sharing the blog, and I am glad it works as well as you hoped!

Caulk it will be, thanks!

Glad you got a kick out of the stick comment. I just plain forgot to pick one up when I bought the drywall and was too impatient to go back.
