WOW...I LOVELOVELOVE Your Pioneer receiver!!..mmmm.mmmm.. I also really like how your stage is turning out. Looking good!
Yeah my first serious receiver was a Pioneer Elite vsx-27 10 years ago. Then a few years back, I replaced it with an Onkyo 805, but I missed the Pioneer so I sold that and got this Pioneer 07. I'm very happy with it.
What is your ceiling height that you have 3 rows planned?
Well that's where it is going to get a bit close. It 7.5 feet, so no tall people in the back row. Luckily my wife and I are both quite short. But I will definitely be telling people to mind their heads
What are you putting at the back of the room behind your riser? Is that the extra space for when everyone lines up all at once to refill their popcorn tubs? Or are you planning the door and/or other stuff at the back of the room?
What are your distances to your first/other rows? That first row in particular looks awfully close from the sketchup.
Finally, if you ever want to finish this - take down that PJ now!!
Well my next project will be to build a Mame cabinet, so that will go at the back there. Also, you can't really tell from the Sketchup drawing, but back there will be walled off with a door added.
Yeah the first row is a bit close, but the problem is that pillar on the right wall behind the second row. the second row has to go right in front of it because if I put it beside it, there is no room to walk by. So leaving room for them to recline, pushes the front row up. I don't mind though, I like sitting close. That's what I do at the movies too.
I really chimed in because I like the name of your theater...check my sig.
Yeah The name came out of my disdain for all the new Multiplexes that opened up in Toronto while they closed down the best theatres in town. (The Uptown, The Eglinton, and the York for those from Toronto). It was between Uniplex or Monoplex.
