I have a new bluray player with an ethernet connection, but I am unable to add a new ethernet cable in the wall so I would like to use a wifi extender. What options are available?

I believe what you are looking for is a wireless bridge (assuming you already have a wifi network in house)

for example

I THINK you can actually accomplish the same thing with a another router, but it takes all sorts of technical tweaking and things that the general population wouldnt want to get into. So i think a bridge is the way to go.

I have Wifi "N" in my house, and it's great for my laptop, but my PS3 and Xbox 360 and Wii are in the far corner of my basement, through DD and GG, stone walls, etc, etc, that I had very weak connection. My PS3 would take forever to download those frequent updates they had. Xbox Live would randomly cut out at times.
So I tried this:

and am very happy with the results. Extremely noticable difference in download speeds and the Live had not loss connection since.
