I was just going to ask you about the Sunfire on wall speakers, but I see you are switching to the MK 150s.

Lee,
I'm an M&K user as well and was wondering what made you decide to switch. I think you'll love them, since everyone that has ever heard them does. What about the surrounds?

The Sunfire's are amazing. I just wanted something different.

I am going with the MK S-150T for the surrounds and the MK MX-350MKII.

Got them in today and set-up. First listen I loved the sub, it went loooow and really had a control to it. It was super fast as well.

The Fronts had a detail to them i had been missing. I listened to some material I was familiar with and noticed things in the high end that didn't stand out before.

The surrounds are not up yet.

Hi Lee,

Congrats on the new theater. Like the rest of the guys I like the clean lines.

Which projector did you end up using? In your initial post you wrote either a RS50 or RS60. I'm considering the new JVC's in order to get 2.35:1 by using the lens memory features.

What about some pictures of the final room with the M&K's installed? You know we love pictures

Merry christmas,

Chris

Hey Lee very nice work....

I may have missed it, but are you doing any acoustic treatments for the room
as in diffusion or absorption?

You have a nice space and maybe u dont need it but I am just curios..

Beautiful looking set up Lee- can't wait to see more pictures. What do you think about 4K- will you be tempted to get a 4K projector in the future?

Sony seems to be really behind 4K now- I wouldn't be surprised to see a new Playstation4 in 2014 with a new 4K optical format...they brought DVD with PS2, Blu-ray with PS3...fingers crossed!

Finally done (well it feels like it will never be complete). I little dust here and there, and I need to cover the white bass traps with the cloth that is on the wall treatments.

Looks good, and I might add, it has a lot of aesthetic similarities to my theater. Seems like we both have good taste.

That Star Wars art...what is it / where did you get it? Looks like miniature movie posters and some film clippings.

Great theater. I am just starting to design an addition with a home theater size similar to yours. How many people have you gotten into the room? We have a family of five but want the theater to hold a few more when my kids have their teenage friends over. I was considering seating for three in the prime location of rear middle, then two single chairs on each side with plans to use bean bags on the floor in front for the teen parties.
How is the sound containment with your build?

Thanks you guys!

I have a few "love Sacs" I pull out when we have extra guests but the are a but close to the screen.

I made decoupled the room and took many precautions so I could crank it up with my kids right above asleep. It works like a charm. Of course the bass does travel a bit, but not like it would if I didn't make the effort.
