This countdown is very intriguing, I think I will grab some popcorn and enjoy it with all of you. In all honest I was "going" to post some updates tonight but photobucket is being a b$^%* and has not allowed me to add/upload anything all day. So with that said it may be "chair watch day 5" before you know it.

Day 5....? Already??? My how time flies. Well I have some progress to report though not sure the chairs will be included or not. I got the secondary riser finished. Here are a couple shots, pretty self explanatory.

One thing left to do on that riser is install the led strip lightsI ordered to the underside lip to light a walk way from the second row.

I also started to hang the acoustic panels. Since I am not an audiophile and my system already sounded "good to me" I did not get into a ton of depth on where to hang these and such. I did go with thicker panels behind the back row.

Here are a few random shots of panels and such.....

More to come as soon as I get them uploaded and of course the long awaited revealing of the seating.........stay tuned (all 3 of you).

There are more than 3 eagerly anticipating the photos, they are just silent readers. Damnit, I guess I'm not a silent reader anymore.

Chair watch........................Day 7.

Ya know GOD made the world in six days and on the 7th he rested. You would think you could at least get some pictures posted in the same amount of time. Sheesh!

Just ribbing ya buddy! All in good time, still keeping the countdown though. I kind of like it.

Alright alright ALRIGHT already.......I will get off my dead ass and get some pictures up to you my friends. But before I do please take notice to the pictures I posted above.............there is evidence of the chairs in 4 of the pics........now pay attention fellas!!

Ok so as you know I wrestled with which direction to go with my seating choice and like all my major purchase decisions it took me quite some time to hammer out. After much debate I decided to go with Roman and his tribute line. There were a couple reasons I chose these including his great reputation around here, the included 5 year warranty and the fact that I could get his seats in power recline (with "snack" trays) for the same price as the manual recline chairs (without trays and no warranty)from the other retailer. Without going into too much detail I will just say this.......I ordered 5 chairs from Roman 2 of which were damaged (not from shipping as the boxes were in good shape). The chairs were nicked in the same spot at the base of their arms. Roman quickly responded and shipped me 2 new replacement arms so that I could swap them out and be good to go. When the 2 new arms arrived 1 was damaged the same way in the same spot. Of course Roman shipped me a 3rd arm and now all is well. This appears to be something that happened or is happening at the factory as they are being boxed but let me tell you Roman made SURE to make things right with me. The best part is now i know how to disassemble and reassemble my chairs in case of an emergency.......lol. It also gave me a chance to take a look at things underneath and inside which I probably would not have been interested in doing if they arrived safely. The chairs are very well built and quite comfortable and while I did not plan for power recline chairs I am sooooo glad I got them now. The "tilt-able" headrests on the Tributes is really a neat feature and the "snack" tray (as Brad calls it)really is an added bonus. I would not hesitate to purchase from Roman again as he is for sure deserving of his great reputation on here. Anyone who is hesitant or has questions regarding the issue with my chairs feel free to pm me otherwise enjoy the show....................

And with "snack" trays (Brad)

Back row

I also got some more of the acoustic panels up and in place and cleaned the room up a bit to take some current pics.

Back row view with lights on

Left wall

Right wall w/rack

And there you have it...........and on day 7 Steve rested!!!!!

The best part is the "to do" list is shrinking by the day..............Yippeeeee time for version 3.0??????

Pff, nice job with the Photoshop Steve, but I'm not buying it. The give away is that those are clearly snack trays, not swiveling trays.

Oh OK, I admit it looks good! Now bring on 3.0, you are precariously close to having a working theater, we can't have that now can we??

It reminds me of my current pick GOM Streetwise Asphalt 718 but if it's not, then I'd like to get my hands on a sample of it.

Any help?

This was from the Fabric Mate Audio Mesh line. I did a quick search and was unable to find it..its been awhile so you may want to see if this is even available anymore.

Actually it took me until just NOW to actually locate this darn thread. After the recent CHANGE (that I do not like) I seem to have misplaced this thread and have had one helluva time locating it. I think I am officially "AVS illiterate". Nothing at all to update/report etc. I have yet to do anything since the chairs got here include watch any movies. We watched one movie in them and have not made it back in there since. Summer has taken over and I dont even know I have the theater most of the time except for the occasional thought about what I still need to get done. Combine that with the new AVS layout and it has killed my desire to complete the theater. Where do I vote to get my old AVS back? I compare this to the new (ish) Facebook layout (timeline) which I have yet to accept. Please give me my old habits back........please?

Agreed...The new facelift on the site has had a decidedly...adverse effect on my viewing as well...
I can navigate around ok, but it is just more of a pain. I deleted my mobile app as well, (it is saying something about unexpected error...I am assuming they need to revamp that for the new site.) I pop in from time to time, but not as often as before...(something I am sure will please my manager, as I should be more productive.)
Steve, I am impressed...and IF I still played COD, I am sure I would hear the fruits of your labor, over the mic. (Alas, BLOPS2 may not even get purchased in my home. I am tired of screaming at my screen)

I've been trying to keep an open mind - but I don't really like it. Slow, too many clicks to get to things, works pretty bad on an iPhone. A few improvements from what there was before (avatars, "Follow" feature - although not sure how exactly to use it), but doesn't outweigh the significant step backward in usability.

Agreed. Not having the mobile app is very annoying. It's a pain to try and navigate the full site on a phone.

I heard awhile ago that they would be releasing a mobile optimized site, but haven't seen any updates on that lately.
