I'm finishing my Home Theater Room. My room dimension are 8'(H)x10'(W)x17'L). I'm deciding how long should i make a riser for a second row sofa. For now, i'm planing into making the riser for the back row close to the rear wall and it will be 6' long, that will leave me 11' to put 2-3 reclinable chairs front. With that back row sofa I would like to lie down and watch TV on the back row sofa from time to time, plus i have kids that probably will watch movies lying down. the screen will be 9' wide 16:9
1-will 2' height feel too tall?
2-with a 1' height riser, is it possible to watch TV while lying down on a sofa? can I see over a standard front chair?
3-what height would you use?
