Thanks for the post and photo. Like to see the room when it is complete.
Does anyone else has any ideas on the beams or photos. Spoke with someone at Home Depot who use to do home theaters and he said that you can make the beams hollow and can run electrical inside. He said to take some two by fours or what ever you want to use and take your stained wood and attach it to the 2x4 and then if you add lights you can run your electrical wire in the middle.
If anyone has pictures of what they did or has any good suggestions that would be a big help. We want to finish the wood work this weekend hopefully.
I like the idea of looking through the beams to give the effect that your are gazing through the roof of your home and that it would hide some of the flaws of the seams in the panels. But it would be easier and cheaper to just leave it an open area.
What is your vote? Open area or beams???
