Help yourself. If you have any questions, feel free to drop me a line. Plus you are already in good hands with Big. When you are done, just invite me over to check out those new JTRs! wink.gif

A few updates on both HT and other things.....

First, after Big brought his Darbee over for testing, I've been sold for what it does even on top of my JVC's e-shift2. I finally received my Darbee last week and playing with it the past weekend. The picture quality is excellent now IMO with the pro-calibration, Darbee @ 35%, E-shift2 Film mode @ 55%. smile.gif

And I'm happy to announce that my humble HT will be use as a background image for yet another upcoming Demo Disc too! I'll let the creator do the announcement when it's ready for the public. biggrin.gif

Ever since I have the HT done, I always want to have a "family photo" of us there watching a movie. However, being a photographer myself, I'm behind the camera most of the time. So when it comes to family portrait, I'll have to hire another fellow pro to do the job for me. Needless to say, I now have THE family photo that I always want!! biggrin.gif

Well that's his "spot" (my laps) whenever I'm down there watching a movie. So, it wasn't hard to get him stay still. Anywhere else, you know I probably need to drug him just to stay calm. tongue.gif

I might have to look into a Darbee at some point, it's been getting some good reviews on the board.

Darbee sells itself, you can toggle back and forth between on and off. You look for something in the scene that has great detail and all of a sudden you just see it better.

+1, I wasn't sure until I saw one at a friend's theater, it really does work - bought one for myself a couple months ago, between adding that and cleaning my bulb (1100 hours), its like a new projector.

I really like that photo. I think it would look great hanging on a main wall outside the theater.

Seems like it'd be weird to have a picture of his family outside your theater, but whatever floats your boat . . .

I do like that picture though. The family are really selling how excited they are cool.gif

Does it really matter where you hang a family portrait? I think the only weird spot is on the wall facing the Crapper.

This is the only picture that should be facing you on the crapper...to provide motivation.

Guess it didn't do it for you guys when I demoed it for you on my Panny AE7000. I heard it really makes very notable difference on the E-Shift capable PJ's.

Digging the family photo man! Looks cozy.

OK guys, no more family photos. tongue.gif

@popalock, you were the first to show me what a Darbee could do and I was impressed. However, I wasn't sold until Big brought his over for me to try it on my projector. smile.gif

I just hosted a small gathering this past Monday night with a couple local guys who's in progress of their own build, Big (of cos), snicker1, NYGIANTSFAN23. It was mainly to show the functionality or the setup of my HT. E.g. how my Insteon, & remote setup, how much better the pro calibration did versus self calibration on factory setting, etc. It was nice to meet you guys and looking forward to visit yours once it's done too! cool.gif

And I've been working on my "2nd man cave" in the past couple of weeks too. My Ultimate Garage. Not sure if there's any car guys here, but I could post some photos if you are interested. rolleyes.gif

Nothing exotic here, but glad I'm not driving a Geo Metro neither. tongue.gif When I was single, yes, I do have some decent cars. Now, I'm just driving a big and boxy SUV. And I'm not complaining since I'm not driving a soccer dad minivan yet. tongue.gif (no offends to those does).

I'll take some photo over the weekend and post. Here's the Before pic. This is where used to be Big's "workshop" in bad weather during my build too.

Hi Landshark. Congrats on an absolutely beautiful build. I am obsessed with the staggered panels and use an image of your theater as my computer's desktop smile.gif . I want to steal this idea for my far more modest build which is a conversion of a bedroom to a theater. Can you tell me how the panels attach to the side wall exactly? Do they hang from brackets?

I have a gray wall and would ideally use black or very dark panels. I'm afraid that the staggered effect would be lost on darker colored panels because you would not see any shadowing. Would you agree that black panels will not produce the same dramatic effect?
