Thanks... The base price on this house was under 300. One of the reasons we moved here 4 years ago.

I thought this was really neat and thought I would share. This is going into a fab. These are stainless supply lines. A project one of my co-workers is doing.

Two racks. Believe it or not this project will use 88 rack spaces. I hope these fit.

Awesome project though!!!

Does that include school taxes? Is that your assessment or full market value?

Perspective...

Your taxes work out to be ~$23 per thousand.

Come on up to Upstate NY, (Not NYC, about 6 hours northwest)...

We just recently moved last year. I thought I was getting a deal moving from a location that had $49 per thousand to one that had $31 per thousand.

I'm moving to Texas too!

That's about the rate I paid in Keller when I lived there, roughly 2.5%.

In Tulsa, I'm paying a rate of 1.5%

Pre-Wire Complete! I don't think I have worked this hard for a very long time. My dad drove in, my two good friends David and Ryan helped along with my wife and I for two days 14 hours each. Wow. Ended up around 2 miles of wire. So happy its done.

I had a contractor I know come out and insulate most of the interior walls in the house to try and make things quiet.

Yes, that was the plan. It was a serious task... I am still tired. We had my wife, my dad, two industry friends, and myself two days 14 hours each. I am still thinking of runs I would I could have gotten to, but we ran out of time. I got the bulk of it done. Left out a few camera locations, but those runs were very difficult and time consuming. The drywall, stone and brick are all up now. I think they will start the trim early next week. Only 50 more nights in this loud apartment.

Well not much on the AV front lately, but the house is coming along. Two weeks away from closing and the beginning of the build-out. Been working on some really cool energy management ideas you guys will see in the coming future.

These hardwoods are being ripped out and replaced this week. They stained them the wrong color and scraped them.

This is a Pulte home. We've been extremely happy so far. The build quality has been excellent, only hiccup so far has been the floors getting replaced because of a mess up with one of the subs, but they are making it right and closing on-time which as I understand it is a rarity.

I love those dark, hand scraped floors! But, I'm not having to live there either! :-)

How big is your new house? Congratulations on nearing the end!

We built a 4K ft^2 house in Tulsa when we moved here from Keller, and I loved every day, its a big difference when your builder is good to work with!

I like the dark as well, but these were almost black and were supposed to be smooth not scraped. So the new ones will be a higher grade of wood since the are going to be smooth and the color will be espresso. New house is 3900 sq ft. so very excited to be near the end. In a 700 sq ft apt with 2500 sq ft of furniture, we feel like we are living in an episode of hoarders.

Got a evening weather job up here, so it was a great career move.

I did my floors as dark as they could stain them, without adding dark paint to the stain, not sure what the color is, but espresso is probably a good description. I did smooth, because I feared the hand-scraped might be a little trendy and less classic than smooth.

When we moved to Keller, we also lived in an apartment for six months. My wife and I had just gotten married, so we had two smallish houses crammed into our apartment. Thankfully, the apartment also had a garage I could use as storage too.

Driving out of the apartment parking lot the last time knowing I'd never have to hear the herd of elephants (or so it seemed) running in the unit above me again was won-der-ful.

Love your open kitchen/LR. We did the same thing here.

Well construction has begun. It has already been a journey. We are in the house and I have been trying to make progress on this as quickly as possible so we can get TVs going before the holiday guests arrive. Now that this is all rolling I should be posting everyday.
