Oh man, what a blow with the Ascend's. Sorry to hear! They are on my short list of speakers for when I start my build, so I will be curious to know how they handle your situation. Keep us posted.

Wow almost 4 months since I last posted! Summers are short around here so had other priorities but now that there's a frost warning out for tonight I can start updating the thread a little more often
I worked directly with Dave at Ascend to resolve my blown mid woofers. He charged me a highly discounted rate for the replacements and I sent in the woofers for him to inspect. Had there been a manufacturing defect then he would have reimbursed me fully for the cost. He sent me back this pic, unfortunately it looks like I just cooked the coils:

Front column angled to suit front-wide speakers. 3/4" MDF screwed into 2x2's on the wall.

Shelf to hold up speaker:

Track stapled to MDF for vertical pieces and stapled to 2x2 for horizontal pieces.

Using column for electrical and low-voltage wiring.

That's it for now

Also added this inline with my LED soffit lights. I can activate a music mode where the lights flash with the beat of the music. Works pretty good.

Catch up time. Black velvet being inserted into curved track on front soffit. The velvet was pinched behind piano hinge at the top of the screen. I covered the shiny hinge with a roll of adhesive black velvet. This worked out well. I also have an extra Jamestown screen like the one here that I will be selling (235 aspect, 118" wide, acoustically transparent). If anyone is interested then please PM me.

Playing around with REW and Audyssey. I measured 5 of my 7 seats for my Audyssey setup but I'm thinking I might try only measuring my main seat. Is Audyssey that much better at doing its job when only optimizing for a single position? Thoughts?
