I've searched and searched for pics of all or mostly black theaters and it seems to me that this was a popular choice in the early 2000's (I'm guessing because of lower light projectors?) but all of the threads are in the archives and they're so old that none of the pictures exist anymore.
Is there anyone out there currently enjoying an all black theater that has pics to share?
Even Google is letting me down with this being about the only thing I can find:
Mine will also be mostly black (different textures of materials like upholstry fabric, velvet, paint on wood and a speakercloth type material) and red and black wall panels between the columns. I'm just starting with the colouring and not finished yet.
I am going for a fully fabric lined room. Black screen wall and ceiling with black walls with a 2.5 foot metallic taupe colour stripe around the middle.... Same colour as my chairs. Should have fabric up within a few weeks. Love some of the black theaters on here.
My home theater looks "normal" and a mix between light cream color and dark brown, during the day. But careful used of curtains and materials means it can quickly transform into the equivalent of a black bat cave for watching movies. It really pays dividends on the image quality and the quality of the viewing experience.
