Here are some shots of the upstairs lounge which is getting an opening on the left through to the kitchen and hall, and the wall on the right pushed out with a cut out for the new stairs to go down...

You need to quit drinking the meths. Seriously though, what do you mean you can't see? Is the picture not loading? Or you mean it's small?

Small? I guess it's all relative. But for me, they're relatively miniscule!!

My poor old eyes long for the good old days when photos were full size instead of postage stamp size. My poor seeing eye glass is wearing out from overuse! Of course, it may just be me, because ...

I'm only "old-ish", but still find a couple of the pictures to be pretty small.

Got excited when I saw some demolition but then realized that it wasn't theater related.

After all the build-up, pressure's on Jonny. We're expecting big things from your small room!

Geez, talk about pressure. It is going to be a long slow process as I need to make it mostly functional and then upgrade piece by piece. The reno for the rest of the house is going well though...

Here is my lounge and kitchen area:

Here are the new internal stairs with monkeys:

At the bottom of the stairs is the new laundry area which will be enclosed in a cupboard with a beer fridge to the left:

Slowly making my way to the HT area. Need to finish upstairs first though...

Here is the near finished lounge upstairs. The TV is a bit low, but I will be raising it a bit higher...

Here is the before (same angle):

Nice! The bottom of the flat screen in my family room looks similar to yours and is mounted about 35" from the floor and I would have even gone 2-3" lower to avoid tilting the screen downwards.

Nice work, and quick!! Surprising, too, with that new hot tub

Bet that's perfect after a long day of remodeling.

You sir will be doing a great job transforming your theater when the time comes

Thanks for all the kind words. Yes a spa at the end of the day is fantastic, it's a pity that the last few days I have been putting in 15+ hours into painting and other reno stuff, so no time for a spa. I finished at 1am yesterday

The floors are getting polyurethaned over the next couple of days, so we are staying at the in-laws. I bought a new toilet and vanity today...

It's all coming together nicely, bringing me that much closer to my HT.
