I have been working on this theater for months and finally am able to watch movies. I have a camera full of pics and they are soon to come but for now I will start with all of the boring stuff.

I built a server with 32 TB to stream all of my media
Chairs: Berkline 45038 Paramount
Projector: Epson 8700UB
Media player: Dune Prime
Screen: Jamestown 133" grey screen
AVR: Onkyo TX-NR809
Speakers: Hsu Research
VTF-3 MK4
6 HB-1 MK2 and 1 HC-1 MK2
Fun stuff: 4 Aura shakers powered by a 300 w Bash amp
------------------------------------------------
All I can say about this setup is WOW!!!!!! it rocks my world every movie I see. I also recommend the new Mission Impossible movie.

I was confused! I wasn't sure if this was the name of a build, or if people should come here to post that they're broke!

The money part never is. I posted my entire build costs in my thread, and had many owners post things like pictures of an ostrich and cover their eyes, because it's better to forget/ignore the cost. hahaha.

I think most of us don't bother to add up all the receipts - not just because of WAF, but because we don't really want to know either! Oh well, I figure I don't have a boat, RV, muscle car - my HT is my boat.

Progress looks nice!

Thanks.
My wife and I both agree that this project is worth every penny spent on it. We spend every evening that I do not work watching movies. We have had a few people over and they all are blown away with both of the audio and video. The bass shakers are still my favorite part.

setup up looks great thus far! could you provide a little more detail about the bass shakers/amp? I'm not too familiar with the setup but there is a lot of great feedback on the tactile bass response! definitely interested! thanks in advance.

I started keeping a running total during the beginnings of my build. I stopped keeping track once the total went well north of 10k. What scared me the most was not the amount as I had a "rough idea" of what my budget was, but how fast I got to 10k and how fast the cash was going after reaching that mark.

Your build looks great. Looking forward to seeing more pics.

Regards,

RTROSE

My (slower than molasses) HT build here.

What are the dimensions of your room?

I love your "desk" area ( if that is in fact what it is) and was thinking of doing something similar in mine...

Build looks nice. I like the woodwork.

Why the screen wall if not going with an AT screen or at least putting the speakers (L/R) behind the GOM around the screen?

I have the same as post 24 in this thread.
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showp...6&postcount=24
I mounted mine in the same location as he did.
I used this amp because I was afraid I wouldn't have enough power.
http://www.parts-express.com/pe/show...FTR=bash%20300
The amp is really strong and I run it almost as low as it will go.

I am not sure of the exact measurements but it is the same size as my two car garage.

The desk area is exactly what it is. We are buying a couple office chairs for back there and will have rope lighting so we can eat. We fell in love with the slate that we used.

I didn't want my screen to be recessed and I wanted uniformity with the speakers in the columns.

Thanks. I bought the carpet from Dobsons floor covering. I went over budget with this choice.
