The Matrix scene should be lossless, as that is what I put on the disc and what it shows on mine. It is a Dolby TrueHD track. Also, a little update. I am jamming away at scenarist working on that better menu structure, and getting some much needed help on it as well smile.gif

I am curious about how your rip plays. Having done this a few times, I know how frustrating it can be is.
Can you play that specific m2ts file itself (00043)?
The NetGear NEOTV 550 can play ISO images or "file structure" images (a folder containing all the files from a DVD or Blu-Ray) equally well and do both with full menus. It doesn't decode the lossless formats but can pass them as bit streams via HDMI to an A/V receiver to decode, which is how I do it. I don't recall whether or not it will play an m2ts file directly.

The downside of the 550 to me (other than being discontinued and no longer supported or developed for) is that every time you add a file, it has to scan all attached drives for content. The more files you have, the longer the scan takes. If I use "file structure" images ran thatn ISO images, it takes longer to scan the drives holding video files. I have three 2-terrabyte drives attached to the 550, one of which has several thousand audio files in FLAC format. Thanks mostly to that last drive, it takes about 20 minutes to scan my drives. I therefore hold off adding files to the drive until I have at least a few movies or several albums. This makes me somewhat less eager to try playing the 00043.m2ts file you mention. Still, the weekend is coming up and I am a bit curious...

What I've done is put the m2ts file into TsMuxeR and create BD format output (two folders). Then those folders go into a new folder and the player should read that as a BD disc.

Though I have done that successfully with many others, this file still doesn't play. frown.gif

I hope you play those music files often. wink.gif

I'm playing the raw file of the Burly Brawl from the Matrix clip via XBMC 12, and I get severe audio/video sync issues. No issue on any other file with this compilation. I havent checked to see what audio format it is. This is off a file server (3TB NAS) on a gigabit network, going through my htpc into an onkyo receiver. I wonder if there is perhaps something about the encoding of this specific file...

Since getting the new subs, one of my favourite scenes is the Hulk sound cannon scene. Not the cannons themselves, I like the sound of the bullet hits as they're firing machine guns at the hulk. I havent felt or seen another movie scene that does machinegun sounds that way, where you actually get an impact feel through the chair.

Book of Eli and Underworld Awakening come to mind right away.

But I'm cheating a little - I have a ButtKicker. wink.gif

But yes, this is a whole lot of fun.

Add Battle: Los Angeles to the list. Great variety of gun shot effects in this one. At high volume, you get kicked by the back of the couch, you feel it in the chest... Also has that LFE where it is as if you hair stands up on your head.

Add "Die Hard 5: A Good Day to Die Hard In Russia For Some Damned Reason". Terrible movie and the video quality varies, but the sound design is excellent, powerful and detailed. Great use of surrounds and gives your sub a workout. The two main scenes with the monster Russian helicopter attacking are amazing.

Following a friend's recommendation and advice I've taken the images down.

If you would like to use the cover and label you can still do so by downloading the zip file. The cover and label art are for personal and private use.

How funny! I made one (not nearly as nice as this) that also featured my SVS PC Ultra cylindrical subwoofer. And this demo with that sub certainly blows me away more than anything I ever heard on Maxwell cassettes back in the day!

Is there a saved version of it without the sub in there or better yet, with some layers?

Call me a semi-perfectionist, but I would like to clean up the subwoofer image (it was cut/pasted somewhat roughly) as well as add some grain and make it the same grayscale as the guy sitting in the chair so that it seems like the subwoofer was actually there for the photo shoot.

Something more like this? (still a work in progress as it is still clear that the subwoofer was added to the photo, but the grain, coloration and a few other elements have been done in about 5 minutes).

That is certainly the maxell graphics/logo for the 80s cassette tapes.

Their slogan for this logo was "We are going to blow you away". Very appropriate I would say.

I'm not sure which one came first but I would say that the Memorex logo and slogan came first. That's another good one to use for the second disc's cover cool.gif

I have, oddly enough, and old Maxell CD-R74 Cd Recordable disc/case sitting on my desk. It came from a pile of old CDs that my parents had that were unlabeled and I have been sorting through. It has the "guy in the chair" silhouette on it. So they used it well pass cassette tapes too. smile.gif

I use TMT5. Current version is 6:

http://www.arcsoft.com/media/tmt-upgrade/?gclid=COHzuZHivLgCFUqY4AodMwoAlw

I'm sure there are other ways, some perhaps free, but you'll need to check the HTPC threads for that info (and it's not as easy as it should be).

You could try DAEMON Tools, it is a virtual drive emulator, its free, but beware of the toolbars and crap they want to install with it, make sure you uncheck those while clicking through the install process.
You could also try Virtual Clone Drive by Elaborate Bytes, I have it installed on my main pc right now and it is showing a second BR Rom, I have a real BR burner, and a virtual one in my "Devices with Removable Storage" list.
I prefer Virtual Clone Drive, I dont recall them trying to install shovelware during the installation but its been a while since I installed it.

I have the DAEMON tools light already installed. Won't I still need BD software or will VLC play it?

I think VLC can play it, but it may take a bit of reading their forum to get it to work, i dont think it supports it without some dinking around. Im pretty sure PowerDVD plays BR natively though.

Or maybe not, but oh well.

So, I have started to compile all of the many scenes that folks have said represent the ultimate in low-freq and bring inadvertent smiles across the room when played/felt. So here's the list of scenes that will be included as of right now:

Link to torrent: http://www.mediafire.com/?q1h1p0ra77owx4e

Steps to get the blu-ray correct:

Once downloaded, there will be extra files and folders. Here is what you need to do to get it "burn ready".

1) In each folder, there will be files with 0 bytes. Delete these.
2) In each folder, there will be another folder of the same name with the correct files in them. Cut these and put them in the first folder. Then delete the duplicate folder.

Pictures for reference:

For some reason I did not get the JAR and BDJO folders in the torrent downoad
