We all start living there. All of us leave town sooner or later.

There are lots of resources on basic audio and video setup including details of what connects to what to carry what signals (video and/or audio). Similarly there are some decent resources on how to deal with data formats and communication including players, platforms, protocols, conversion, etc. but this can be quite complicated. Some of the comments in this thread can help point you in the right direction, but you don't want to use this thread as tech support.

Bon voyage.

Ok !

Here are the steps I took for watching this on my ps3 using an external hd

1) Download Utorrent or similar software. ( I use Utorrent all the time and love it)
2) Click on the link in post #1 for the ultimate Bass demo disc vol 1 torrent
3) wait a day or two for all 45gb to download
4) download the multiAVCHD software
5) click in this link and follow the steps: http://www.avsforum.com/t/1469192/reference-2-blu-ray-demo-disc-bd9s-bd50#post_23227070
6) transfer file to external hard drive
7) turn on ps3, connect hd, scroll over to the movie tab, then down to the hd.
8) Click file named AVCHD and The Ultimate Bass Demo Disc Vol 1 main menu will pop up
9) take pictures off of the wall, grab a bag of popcorn and a Surly Furious and enjoy
10) apologize to neighbors if need be

The problems I ran into were that I tried to play the audio by connecting the headphone out on my laptop to the red/white stereo RCA jacks on my AVR... The audio quality was horrible.

Ha! I think that's because of the difference in input levels between line-in of the RCA jacks and the headphones line-out...

Looks like there are 4 seeders right now. I'm continuing to seed as well...

You start seeding immediately after you have some data downloaded that other leechers need.

Both discs "done", now I'm fully seeding as pay-it forward, seems to be sucking my bandwidth, so far I've uploaded 6.4GB each disc, is there a way to "throttle" it so not a hog?
I'm on Mac OSX using xxx

I see there is a bandwidth tab, what's a "decent" throttle amount for win-win?

Set whatever limits work for you. Whatever you seed is appreciated.

Check your upload speed via speedtest.net, then assign a limit that is 90% of the max speed. If you're on cable, upload will always slow down download, no way around it.

I'm at 25Mbps download and 3.5 Mbps upload, not sure if that's fast/slow/"normal" for comcast cable here in SE Michigan....

I'll put a % of that for seeding.

That's respectable, but comcrap are known to BS their customers with 'speed boost' 'feature' which means that they claim to give you 5mbps upload but in reality it's only 2.5mbps. Speed tests will show 5mbps since comcrap throttles the upload speed only after 30+ seconds.

I had comcrap until a year ago, moved to a new place and got Mediacom now.

Experiment and see what works for you.

Anyone who would like to see some outrageous sub drivers - the actual speakers - and some actual cutaway designs, I just tripped over this YT video:

http://youtu.be/5b_fikmGLFY

None of what's pictured can match the huge 36" wide sub driver nor the 20" deep car stereo bass drivers I saw at CES, but these are more than interesting anyway...

I'd say sometime around 11/20/2013... smile.gif

The first post in this thread is marked "Edited by Jindrak - 11/20/13 at 12:24am" biggrin.gif At least that is the date/time that I see based off of my time zone.

I downloaded these quite some time ago and forgot I had. What do I need to do to get them onto a bd? I have imgburn. Do I just create disc from file/folder in imgburn or do I have to mount the iso( I don't know what that means) or pick specific parts from the file? I don't want to make any coasters out of my dl bd's which I did with the first version of volume 1(must've messed up with all the file copying and renaming). I have made bd's successfully with imgburn in the past but I'm not quite sure how to do it with an iso file or maybe I know and I'm just doubting myself, either way could somebody please give me a quick rundown or post a link with instructions possibly.

Thanks for any help guys/gals.

If you already got it as an ISO, just use 'write image file to disc', can't get any easier than that...

Thank you. I'm not sure it's an iso I just downloaded from the latest links that were set up and haven't done anything to the files since. I thought that jindrak made these last 2 projects in that format to make it easy for people. I just don't know that much about this stuff and want to get it right. If I downloaded with utorrent and haven't done anything else to it is it in the proper format to write to disc and have a perfectly working bd?

what you downloaded, is it an ISO? a single file named The ULTIMATE Bass Demo Disc Vol.2.iso...

If yes, then you just do what I wrote in previous post. You can PM me if you'd like, I can guide you through.
