Your guests all have a drink in their hands.

The lights all set in the "Welcome" configuration.

You welcome them into your theatre as the music __________ emanates from the speakers and sets the ambiance.

... so what DO you guys play for pre-show music ?

I heard a lively version of the Overture from Captain Blood that sounded great, but I haven't yet decided.

It's all about the atmosphere, isn't it ?

I don't think this is what you had in mind, but this thread made me think of two AC/DC songs. Back in Black, and Thunderstruck. If you're gonna make an entrance, it's hard to go wrong with either of those

Dude, are you made of leprechauns? Cause that was awesome!

I was thinking the same thing. When I think "entrance music", it's usually for a closer in baseball or somebody in the WWE. In either case, mine would probably be one of the two you mentioned.

For me it's the soundtrack for the Looney Tunes shorts always playing as the pre-show...

A more accurate "theater" experience would be one of the trivia slideshows folks have created, with a crappy local FM station playing

I always thought something sweeping and orchestral helps set the cinematic mood.

However AC/DC would get the crowd pumped up !
