Thanks Ted for quick reply. I have carpet floor. Does automatic door bottom works with this floor? If not what should I do.

Carpet would not be in the "smooth hard flooring" club. Let me back up.

As Big said, you'll need a hard surface to engage that Neoprene to, and we generally recommend a piece of hardwood or stone. I guess this could be considered a threshold, but really it's just a simple strip.

Ted,
Thanks. Are there any instructions or photos that anybody installed automatic door bottom on carpet area. It is little confusing to know these

1. Is it possible to put wood or stone over carpet? Else, do I need to remove carpet.?

2. You said it is only strip. Does the strip should be placed where exactly door is in closed position?

3. Is it recommended to use 1 inch or 2inch wide strip that is 32 inch wide (door width) and 1 inch high ?

Appreciate any help.

#1 Remove the carper and install the strip on the subfloor or slab. Otherwise sound will simply sneak under.

#2 The strip would be located where the Neoprene touches the floor when the door is closed.

#3 2" wide would be good. I would think a 1" height would be a bit tall. 3/4" would likely be better
