I just had my basement finished and have about 12 - 6" Halo recessed lights in the "Home Theater" area.

What type of bulbs are everyone using for recessed lights in the HT?

I have a large number of cans over the seating area in my HT. I used pinhole baffles to restrict the light down not on the screen and was using 50 watt reflector bulbs. They were forever burning out from what I suspect is vibration from the floor above. So I tried a bunch of these and Love them.

I put these over my back bar

I've found that some of the traditional *indoor* flood and spot bulbs typically used for 6" cans vibrate with certain low freq tones. Run a test disc and you'll see...

The outdoor bulbs don't vibrate near as much, or at least it's not noticeable, and they last longer.

i also like the outdoor bulbs because they look better by filling the 6" baffle a lot more.
