Project Battle wounds!
Hopefully, this can be helpful to those who want to clean stains on screen.
Day two back in late June when I was trimming out soffit face, At end of day I notice a small 1" spot on screen......upon further inspection I realized it was pneumatic oil on screen. That morning, I oiled up my 16 gauge finish nailer and didn't realize I had not cleaned off excess in one location. Thought venting was going away from screen.......evidently not!
So the battle begins........screen is off wall, fabric is on dining room table and here are my weapons of choice:
Wife being the fabric expert and have contacted Chris at Seymour-SE.........strategy for combat is prepared!
Using fabric fray glue on edges........dry time is 15-20 minutes so this will be a looooong process. Chris stated fabric will fray.......definitely an understatement!
When all edges are glued.........Will soak Dawn dish soap on stain and will let soak for 20 minutes and then wash fabric in hot water on delicate cycle. When done, will spread screen material to dry naturally. When dry, wrinkles will be clearly visable but tension from installation will eliminate any of those wrinkles.......Chris' own words!
If I loose this battle....$500+ for fabric material is literally down the drain!
