Or do you mean something from the tripod? Don't think there's anything coming off that one either.

You can get a quick release head for most tripods which releases the camera with "shoe" attached with the flick of a lever/button.

I'll just leave the camera on the tripod when downloading to the computer, I think.

Got the small Rosco-can yesterday, but I'll finish off the current job before I try it.

Possibly found the power amp to make it complete 13 external amp channel - have sent a bid on it at least.

Have done an initial test with the Rosco (1 part paint 1/2 part water), barring it might deepen more given time, I'd say the flatness is about the same and that from some, but not all angles relative to light it's noticably darker. Worst angle I can't really tell them apart.

So between clearly better and equal... Guess I should use it then.... Had sort of hoped the difference would be small enough to ignore, so can I?

It's bloody wet even this mix, so those reporting splatter from 1:1 mix.... I'm not surprised, I'll probably try less actually...

Edit: after having painted a slightly large area, I'm actually less certain of it being worth the cost and effort... This needs pondering!

Painted three boards differently, undiluted, light dilution, very diluted; it's never been as interesting watching paint dry before...

Looks like there's really quite a little difference in result with the different dilutions ( at least with a brush), which is good for value. More dilution splatters more, so it will cost more in soap.

It's quite interesting how differently the paints work, it's just two paces between a significant difference and not being able to tell them apart. There's also a color difference (skipping the correct spelling for all you 'mericans ) - the Rosco is in the cold color scale (blue tinted) while my other flat paint is in the warm scale (yellow tinted). Which is an advantage for the Rosco as I prefer the cold scale myself. Possibly also would help in a placebo kind of way if theater gets hot after an hour of watching movies.

It seems to be flatter in the general direction to watch movies, even if it's quite a different lamp to the projector... At this particular moment in time, I favor getting more of rhe Rosco, but I'll sleep and think on it and look at the results also in the morrow.

Photography is hell... either it gets more washed out than the eyes see, or too dark. This is a too dark one, but more sharpness and do tell the tiny difference between repainted and not.

Edit: noticed at work that my home computer screen is a bit brighter, so here's a up-brightened version in case above looks all black:

Brackets for side surround speakers mounted... more diffusion panels up and painted the first time (still wet!):

With the ceiling boards and these ones up... clap echo does no longer have the flutter character. One side more of diffusion plus a carpet.... going to get cozy.

OK. Now I'm feeling really guilty that I haven't done anything. I can see you'll have it completely back together and showing movies in time for xmas! Great work!!! I hope you are feeling better about the time and effort.

I'm actually trying to get then in a month's time, depending on delivery time of carpet. Will try to get measurements done soon so I can order it. Tax return covers it.

I'm also (still successfully) fending off our daughter from watching Lord of the Rings on the tv, so I'm getting comments like "are you still painting the ceiling?".

Oh, I'm feeling quite ok with it - if you're referring to the "what you would have done differently"-thread, my answer there would be the same anyway no matter how happy I am/will be about it. It's quite possible to say "Shouldn't have done it, but love it."

Just had to try it out for size.... psuedo-atmos

Drop it into an outer box lined with some dampening foam.... question still outstanding - is there a special atmos sauce to be added as well?

Definitely! But I'm not sure I'll adopt it 1st gen... but I like to ponder things a long time before deciding, so it's definitely time to ponder atmos from before day one.

Nice job on the theater! It looks like you have put a lot of hard work into it.

Quick question, is there a reason why all your surround speakers look like your atmos speaker with tweeters added to the top?
