My guess would be the Keith Yates consulting fees for Rob's theater were larger than whatever you think you will be spending on your theater .... times two !!

Your theater will be incredible - both cosmetically and I'm sure, acoustically!! Never give up!!

I've found all sorts of progress across the forums in my weekly stop

Very quickly, here's a variation of Option 3 with the logos spaced out a bit more. We'll call this Option 3C.

@J_P_A - I'll see if they'll do a variation of 3C with the alternate Atmos logo. Thanks for your feedback.

Does anyone know if you can use Dropbox with AVS Forum. Currently all of the thread photos are posted in a free Photobucket account, but that account has now reached its limit and I cannot add any more photos unless I buy their service, which I'm not going to do. I have a personal Dropbox account through work with 2TB of storage where we use only about 3 GB, so plenty of space there....I just didn't see an area where I could copy a link for the photos to post here like I normally do. I'm also open to an alternate free service.

Hard to judge the logos in isolation like that. It think it's bestrode look at it all together with the rest of the sign. Can you post the complete version of the sign with the spaced out logos?

I think I like 3C, but only by a slight margin. It's primarily because the Auro3D logo and the DTSX logo seem to run together a bit in the other version.

I like option 3C.

As far as Dropbox, it should work fine. Have a look at this article though for getting your links correct:

+1 Option 3C. simple. timeless.

As far as Dropbox, if you had even the free service early on, you are grand-fathered in for a public share, labeled 'Public' on your directory structure. If you don't see that, not sure you are able to use it to link.

OK, I can now publicly share the photo and generate a link....but how do I get the same type of link Photobucket provided which will allow full-size embedded photos?

Like this:

Seems Dropbox doesn't have the ability to provide the longer link above automatically.

I've started loading my pictures directly to my posts, hitting "preview" then copy/paste the link into

Then you get the full-size image embedded in the post and don't have to deal with dropbox or photo bucket.

If you load directly to Avs you also never lose them when you break the link on third party sites

So if I have a photo on my desktop, what do I put in the "addALinkHere" spot? This would save me sooooo much time and I can get rid of my photobucket account since I inly use for AVS!!

you reply to the thread, drop your images where it says "drag files here to attach", and then preview your post. click on the image, and say "copy url", and then back in your main post you can click the image button, and paste that url in between the blocks.
