Things are going well in Southern CA, Funny story from yesterday's meetings: Theater using QSC products in TX, received a Cease and desist order due to the rattling of windows and doors, from a houseing development, 450 yards away from the theater. Seems the droughts down in TX has turned the ground so hard in some areas that the vibrations are easily traversing some distance...
Too funny

Wow its amazing how quickly you can blink and have a project stall out... Still catching up from Cinemacon last week. Ton of new business coming in keeping me hopping. To make matters worse, while I was in Vegas I got a call from my wife about water coming into the basement, fortunately from a place that wasnt finished, although it is exactly where I am building the theater at. Brought the builder out and we determined that I do not have enough of a grade in the front yard where we put the flowers and plants. So that is going to slow things down a little bit more, then there was this thing called the sun that came out and may even finally bring warm weather with it.... Conflicting priorities, I tell ya....

so a year and change after I got started on the basement project. We have ordered cabinets for the bar, carpet for the main room. My office is done, bathroom is done. There has been conversations between my wife and I about the long term plan regarding this house and it is starting to look like the theater is going to get put on hold, the space turned into a den/child's room of sorts with the next house being built and therefore as much room as I want (err afford) to build the theater in. Short term loss for long term gain I am thinking. But on a high note, I am working on an Atmos conversion design for a local theater in Omaha so I can live vicariously through that project for a while....
