Okay, my plan right now is to link to bedrooms in my basement together (Destroy a wall in the middle), and then make a home theater room out of it. My best estimate of the dimensions right now is roughly 9 meters in length, 5 meters in width, and about 1.5-2 meters high. I'm in kind of a dilemma. My parents only gave me a $3000 budget. I already used up half for my speaker system (Energy CF-30, Energy CC-10, Energy CR-10, Polk Audio PSW110, and Pioneer VSX 1022-k). The other half will go towards a new 1080p projector (leaning towards Epson 8100), which is old, but is pretty decent, and room acoustics and soundproofing. My question is, is there any ways to get 15 Acoustic Panels for less than $300, Bass traps for about $150, and soundproof the room for $100? The room is already a finished room with drywall, and I would prefer to not take it down (fear of parents). Any suggestions?
