Hi guys long timer lurker. first time poster. just wanted to share some pictures and info on my (man cave) home theater. A little background on the space. theater it self is 12'WX22'L with 6' ceilings. it has a bathroom and a kitchen. When i first bought the house 8 yrs ago first thing i did was build an apt. in the basement to help with the mortgage. Now no longer need that extra money i decited to make the room of my dreams. im an electrician by trade and also knows carpentry work as well. the space was demo'ed and built by my 73yr old dad and I in 3 months. so here it is let me know what you guys think. thanks in advance

Wow, what a great transformation. Nicely done. Looks like you have a fine space to share with your family. What are some additional specs on your space, screen, projector, speakers, amp, blue ray player etc, etc.

Hi John,

Thanks for sharing. I'm in the middle of design for a dedicated room of about the same dimensions and was also thinking 3+3 HT seating. How high is the step for the second row? Does it give good visibility when the first row is full?

i did 8" high. yea i can see perfectly over the seats in front when they are not reclined.

THANKS MAN, yea they sure do. i have a 55" samsung led in my family room and now that room dosnt even be used anymore to watch movies, lol they all want to watch movies in here. i originally built the room to watch UFC fights, play ps3 games and watch sports, but the movies look great on it.
