For those of you who used insulated flex duct for sound proofing, are there any tips and tricks you learned when installing it?

What about where to purchase it -- Does it make a difference or is buying it from Big Box store vs. Local HVAC supplier vs. online?

They are better than metal but not as good as true acoustical flex duct which has a fabric inner sleeve allowing the insulation to absorb some sound as it travels the length of the duct.
