I think most of us have felt that way at one time or another. This, too, shall pass.

Best of luck in the meantime.

Did you really need to quote that entire post in your reply?

Sorry to hear that. I remember when I had water issues at my house/build. In the moment I felt so overwhelmed and like there was no where to turn to. I don't know how you feel, I can only tell you how I felt at the time. I wish you all the best and that it all works out for the best. Just keep your chin up and moving forward. It will get better.

Been there, done that. Twice.

Fortunately, the first time I didn't have drywall up. The second time I didn't have carpet down. I don't mind saying that the second time REALLY bummed me out. It took me a long time to get back to it. You will, too. Take your time and when you're ready, you'll know it.

JoshZ, that is awful news. Perhaps that sewer leak will fill the basement with gas and while you are at the store, the problem will level itself...
Best of luck to you.

Mine was a never ending nightmare. Utterly complex, with me never wanting to give an inch up on my plans. Basically everything...EVERYTHING...either went wrong or took 4 times longer than I was told, or didn't work, or was 3 times more the cost. Almost every piece of gear I bought new had problems when it arrived. Disputes with contractors. Fabrics needed to match existing install suddenly being discontinued.
Custom built sofa - which took 4 months to finish - shows up and won't fit into my home. Had to do special wiring all the way from the bottom of my house to the main floor home theater room for the electric shades, only to be told after by the salesman "oops, the shades I sold you don't fit your windows...just use some battery operated ones instead" (and he refused to help pay costs of the electrician who did all the useless wiring work).
A construction that was supposed to be over in a month ended up taking over a year, the family living in a cloud of dust, our front hallway piled high with crap, my wife constantly shooting me divorce-eyes.

I had a pal who was my go-to sympathizer during the years long process. Virtually every call would go like this:

Me: "Well, my X product finally showed up."
Him: "Great!"
Me: "Actually..."
Him: "It doesn't work, does it?"
Me: " it doesn't..."
Him: "You have the worst luck of any human I've ever met. Just how many Gods have you managed to offend?"
Me: "Hold me...*sniffle*....I'm cold..."

He always said he'd never in his life witnessed someone with such bad luck. This story from my build wasn't unusual, it was typical:

In the end, astoundingly, the whole thing came out perfectly, just as I dreamed it up, and worked like a charm. (Well, almost always...)
