I agree!

Finally installed my LCR speakers, but my screen got delayed until Monday. mad.gif That means that I can not finish this bad boy up until then. I am also trying to get a Capitvator 2400 ordered, but I can not get in touch with Jeff. He is probably so backed up on orders tight now. I can't wait until I get a captivator in my theater and get rid of the THT!

Awesome room!

Great job on the panels, they look great and I'm sure they make the room sound great.

So, the picture on the first page is not your AT screen? Is it the same 150 inch size? I'm thinking of going AT and currently have a 158 inch "screen" size (painted wall) and love how it looks compared to AT screens I've seen first hand so I'm very interested in how you like your new screen.

Thanks Carp! They did make the room sound a lot better! The room was really live with echos when you talked or clapped. After the treatment, all went away and I really noticed dialog sounded better too. No charts to back up my words unfortunately.

No the picture is not. I will update that here soon, but I does look the same just without seeing speakers. Right now I am in the middle of recalibrating my system since I just put the screen up last night.

Very nice theater. I really like the panels like that. Very cool effect that the bunched panels make

What did you put behind them? 1" or 2"? Linacoustic?

I bet you are excited for Sunday's game. I can't decide if Tony Romo being hurt helps or hurts the eagles... lol

LMAO! I really think he is a good qb over all. I would much rather the Eagles play against Kyle Orton! If Washington would have stopped that 4th and goal, I would have no worries!

Here is the new screen. Pretty much the same thing but new speakers behind it that you can't see. Just makes the room look bigger and cleaner. I Had my last calibration set up for my speakers I had in the theater before, so I reran Audyssey and not it sounds great. At first, I was thinking that my new speakers did not sound good at all, and was hoping Audyssey would do it's thing. Audyssey really worked it's magic for sure!

Damn that looks nice, so clean looking!

Curious to see your impressions of the picture quality and sound quality compared to the non AT screen.

Thanks! The picture looks a little better than the screen before. The last screen had a 1.2 gain and I think the the Seymour center stage has the same. The sound is awesome after audyssey calibrated my setup. I just love how the sound is behind the screen now instead of it coming up from the center channel below the screen like I had previously. Now my speakers are out of sight which is what I have been thinking about doing for a long time now. I should have just did that to start with, because it would have saved me a lot of money. But as we all know, this is the nature of the beast with our hobby!

Love the look of your screen area sans stage. It opens up the space. Very nice.

Is that 150" diagonal?

I'm confused (common issue for me smile.gif) by the pricing on the Seymour Website. I see prices for retractable screens and non AT screens but nothing for AT. How much was the screen, frame, shipping all together?

thanks!

So I take it you are happy with the Def Tech Speakers? biggrin.gif
I am considering UIW RLS II speakers behind an AT screen for my front speakers. This is for theater # 2 in the new house.

Actually yes! They sound really good!

I do notice that the image on the screen looks a better too. Unless it is my mind playing tricks on me. I love the upgrade that I have done and no regrets doing so.

My dad has a summer home in Clearwater area (Tampa) so we went to the tampa game (we are patriots fans) and the Saints fans were excessively obnoxious. Really a dirtbag fan base that day (and lots of them) Surprisingly Tampa won that day but the how trashy the Saints fans were is forever burned into my brain.

In comparison the year before we saw NE play in Miami versus the Dolphins and the fins fans were very nice, even though we were away team and division rival. We wore our Pats shirts and the ridicule was fun nature and the atmosphere was a Jimmy Buffet party. Patriots lost that day but still one of the most fun games I have ever seen. Total difference. On the cruise we took the week before we watching the Saints vs the Patriots on the big screen on the deck on the cruise ship that year and same story- obnoxious trashy Saints fans then too. Ever since those two bad experiences I basically stereotyped all Saints fans and I root against Brees and the Saints consistently.

Go Eagles!

Andy Reid vs Philly in the SB would be interesting story line ....

Yea I am kind of worried about the Saints game.

I completely agree with you about Saints fans! I can't stand New Orleans anyway. That is a crap city, and I felt like I was going to get beat up or killed when I was there. I kept my peace too, so it was not like I was looking for trouble which I never do. I just felt really unsafe and the city was a crap hole as well. A lot of those people came over to Houston when hurricane Katrina hit and they jacked up our city. All Houstonians were sick of the people for NO. They were low class and trashy people.

I hope I did not offend anybody about NO. I am sure that not everybody fits the description of my experience, but I just have not met that person.

Go Eagles is right!

That would be a great super bowl, but I don't think either team is going to make it all the way.

I read your thread to see how your 11.1 install went. Nice job! It is not easy to keep very clean lines and run 11.1 surround but I think you've succeeded. Looks and sounds good - you can't beat that.

Clearly, I'm a man of action - just give me a few minutes to think about it.

Finally my new sub came! JTR S2

This is it next to my THT (retired to the garage setup) and my oldest daughter that is a little over 2.5 years old. The THT had been wrapped in suede and that is why it looks raw right now.

This is it in it's new home naked.

And with it's clothes on (blurry pic)

Tucked away in it's corner
