Soon the speakers, amplifiers and surround processor will be improved on!

(I'm likely going to have an AVS get together when complete). Come on!

What really sucks about adding all of these new subs is that I want to go back and watch all of the movies that I was missing the ULF. I have been on data-bass forum and looking at some of their reviews and I didn't know a lot of the movies on there had extension all the way to 1hz! Some of the movies that are on there that I own, I watched before I got sealed subs so I will have to see what I missed. MY wife and I watched Olympus Has Fallen again and WOW! The monument falling scene was crazy!

I do have to admit that I think that I am finally done with subs. For two reasons:
1. I do not have any more room.
2. The Wife will kill me......just kidding. I don't see the need for any more. I know that I have said this before in the past but, I am sticking with my first answer.

I thought I saw 8, nice! Have you got them all running of the same channel with the cap or are you using a second channel

No they are on a different channel. The cap has its own tune and each pair of 1260w's has their own tune.

I had my ULF score calculated in the Your Home Theater ULF Score thread and this is what Dominguez came up with. For those of you who do not know, this thread is where you can see how different systems compare with each other. Really interesting thread!

^Nice Subage!

I applaud their work in that thread with ULF scoring but the choice in units(SI) has always puzzled me.

What do you mean? Do you not like the SI subs? I think that they were chosen as a reference point because they are so popular in the DIY world. Just a measuring point so systems could be compared with each other.

No, I think the SIs are a killer value, plus they are a NC company so I support that stuff for sure.

I get the logic, and it works for the context of the current application/conversation. I just feel adding the SI equivalent to the equation unecessarily convoluted the topic when standards of measurement already existed(ie SPL, THX Reference). The SI sub itself is variable depending on alignment or amplification so measuring something with a variable doesn't make much sense to me. I don't get the value in knowing how many SI's it equals. Just my opinion and its worth what you pay for it, nothing.

Pardon my OCD hangup but I am a scientist and measurement significance is a pet peeve.

Don't waste time reading signatures.....

I see your point. No worries. I haven't looked at it from that point of view before and you definitely have good points.

I have always liked all science classes I have ever took in school and college except chemistry but it was ok. What type of scientist are you?

I'm currently a Chemist for a Nuclear Fuel Fabrication Company, but previously I've also been a Microbiologist for the DOD and also worked in the Enviromental(EPA) Science field.

I'm not bashing the work done over there at all, its an awesome effort which has yeilded some awesome results to say the least. The SI thing just always puzzled me.

Back to your awesome theater though, enough of my distractions....

All I have to say is........IT'S AMAZING! I have already tuned it and my bass response has finally got me to the point where I am super happy. Being though my theater is on the second floor in my house, the floor shakes like crazy to add to the effect.

I ran out of room in my rack so the two inukes have to go on top of the rack in the AV closet. Better that way anyways because the fans are loud.

Here is the chart after tuning. Looks a little bit better than before as far as being flat, but sounds way more intimidating! These are not max SPL charts, nor will I even attempt to do one. My house is already shaking like crazy and I don't really care how loud my setup will play because I only watch movies at -15 MLV.

Give MKtheater your opinion on your infinity and near field brutality speakers...

I need help with a design and driver!

Crazy idea of porting at 10hz... etc... etc... I like the idea but sealed might just be easier.

Where did you ordered your boxes from and where did you order the drivers from.

I have a Berlinger 2500 amp that I have been using to drive a Svs 16 x 46 sub with. If I could add 4 sub boxes 2 stacked in my front corners for that kind of price that would good.

ALSo why I am asking where did you get your cable from.
Thanks

I bought the drivers and boxes at sonicelectronix.com

I purchased the amps and speakon cables from Amazon.

I bought the xlr to RCA cables and RCA splitters from guitar center about a mile from my house.

I wouldn't buy a ported box that is car audio. The ported boxes are usually not big enough for good extension in a home theater application. Also, make sure you buy the correct size sealed box if that is the way you are going. Anything bigger than a 12" driver I would add bracing.

Okay I found the box I think and the subs

1.5 Cu Ft - Single 12" Sealed MDF Subwoofer Enclosure (Belva MDFS1215)
12-inch Sealed Car Sub Box Made with 3/4" MDF and lined w/ Polyfil (1.5 cu ft airspace)

They are out of the boxes at this time. I set it up for them to email me when they come back in.
