No, I think the SIs are a killer value, plus they are a NC company so I support that stuff for sure.
I get the logic, and it works for the context of the current application/conversation. I just feel adding the SI equivalent to the equation unecessarily convoluted the topic when standards of measurement already existed(ie SPL, THX Reference). The SI sub itself is variable depending on alignment or amplification so measuring something with a variable doesn't make much sense to me. I don't get the value in knowing how many SI's it equals. Just my opinion and its worth what you pay for it, nothing.
Pardon my OCD hangup but I am a scientist and measurement significance is a pet peeve.
