by now I'm sure I'm developing the reputation of the worst kind of cheap theater shopper (which I wear with some amount of shame)...

hunting for chairs again and this guy pops up...

http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/fuo/5182472231.html

are there any low cost options for that missing outside arm / piece? he claims you can order a replacement for $200 which is a total non-starter because $200 is what I want to pay per entire seat...

is there a place where these "leftover" pieces can be obtained for $100 or less?

Couldn't it just be configured to have a loveseat in the middle? You'd want to identify the number of pieces that have RH arms, the number with LH arms and the number with both arms in that row of four to see what you are working with and if my proposal is even possible.

hadn't thought of that - I'll ask.

"They all split up and non of them have a left arm when you're looking at them. So they are all interchangeable but can only be configured one way. "

good idea, no dice.

how fitting that post #666 is these monsters... real pain in the ass to get these downstairs. If we'd been more knowledgable we would have popped the backs off but only one side really seemed to want to give.

so projector - check, screen - check, weak sauce surround system - check, riser and ugly couch - check. we're starting to get some semblance of a theater here...just missing, you know, walls...

these recliners will likely not fit in the finished theater or if they do they will be the back row which I was hoping to get 5 across but now I doubt that very highly after seeing these 4.

just wanted to add that we watched X-Men (2006) last weekend at my place and sitting in the back row was definitely a different experience - got a lot more of the rear mix than I was used to and I really liked it.

I know I have crappy speakers but that probably means I need to take my rear channels up right? I did the auto config with the Pioneer mike when I got it.
