I want to hang my screen (85 X 60 (in)) but my selected wall is stepped so I need to build up the upper portion (5 inches deep).

What are my best options based on aesthetics, minimal/maximum effort and cost and does it really matter as long as the wall can support the screen?:

The options are -

1. complete the wall across the entire room;
2. build a wall so the the screen rests on the screen verticals (85 w X 49 h);
3. build a wall to hang the hooks for the screen ( approx 44 w X 49 h).

what screen and how does it wall mount, if it just hangs from the top you could just place a 2x4 on some blocking to bring it even with the bottom of the wall and you'll be set with about $15 in lumber and some screws
