what are some things to keep the wires that exit the ceiling or floor looking clean? For example, if the wire comes out of the ceiling, should i just drill a small hole and run the wire? Is there a piece of plastic, round maybe to keep that hole clean looking?

I am also planning on running a wire out of the hardwood floor. What are some ways to keep it as low profile as possible and clean looking?

Checking monoprice, most of the adapters are large rectangular ones that look bulky.

thanks!

Arlington Industries is your friend.

But drilling through your hardwood floor, really? There isn't a wall even remotely close to the device that needs the cabling you can fish? It sounds like the space below isn't finished.

underachiever extraordinaire

I have a post in the dedicated forum build, but there are no walls close by. I will run the wire into the concrete and under the floor board. It needs to be a clean install so trying to see what options i have.

Thanks for the link!
