My debut for mine was Transformers. I did this after my sons birthday party festivities were completed and everyone retired to the "theater" What a blast and what a joy entertaining everyone in my newly finished room (This was in 2008)!

I sure would like to see pictures of your theater, please share.

Whatever you do, NEVER let anyone see 28 Days Later on your system. My daughter and a friend were watching it last night and my wife was showing the theater. Embarrassing. My 4 year old can shoot a better looking film with his Leap Pad. Our first family movie in the new room was one of the Transformers. My first solo screening was a couple episodes of Band of Brothers.

It doesn't look good, that's for sure. Check out Keanu Reeves' recent documentary "Side by Side" where he talks with Danny Boyle (and a lot of other interesting directors) about the growth of digital film making. 28 Days Later was one of the first major theatrical releases shot on DV. Very interesting and entertaining documentary (on amazon, free with prime, as well as instant netflix)

On the other hand, 28 Weeks Later was the first Blu-ray I ever bought, and I think really looks good - of course it was mostly shot on 35mm film. I love watching it as long as it's played at 24fps, but that's another conversation.
