Enjoy it while you can. Your Visa bill will arrive before you know it. smile.gif

I too was pleased with how easy the Seymour screen and frame went together. I'm very happy with mine. Can't wait to see your front wall all finished.

No doubt! Visa bills suck. Still have about $10K to go. I can't wait to see it finished as well. I have read through your build and can't tell you how much I learned from it. You did an awesome job documenting everything. My goal is to end up with a screen wall much like yours.

Budget? What's that?

It's going to be a busy weekend! Speakers arrived yesterday, I can't wait to hear this setup. The ULS-15 is one heavy beast, I thought the Fed Ex guy was going to collapse. Not looking forward to getting this up the stairs, er, well yes I am!

On the agenda for this weekend is:
1. Mount rope light under stage lip
2. Big's minimalist screen wall (At least the goal posts and screen hung)
3. Get the RF82 and ULS behind the screen and hang the RS52.

Budget? What's that?

I finished Big's minimalist screen wall today. The angles of my ceiling were challenging to say the least but prevailed using the measure 36 times, create 6 different jigs, and cut once theory. A carpenter I am not.

Thanks BIG!! Your design rocks! Here are some pics.

I also hung the RS52 surrounds last night, I am glad I went with them, I was going to use the RS62 which would have been too big. These fit perfect. I'm going to pack the RF82 II up the stairs in a bit and set up the stage with those and the ULS-15. Then play a little music smile.gif I have the house to myself today so looking forward to testing out the ULS-15.

Marantz SR7008 and MM7025 showed up today. Gonna hook em up tonight and run a sound check with World War Z, the BD shows it's 7.1 DTS-HD so will be fun. Ordered the OPPO BDP-103 and RS4810 yesterday, will be here on Monday. Today ordered the rest of the gear needed to complete the build which was:

1. All the Middle Atlantic custom rack shelves, fans, screws, and blanks needed to finish the rack.
2. Dune HD Smart D1
3. Panamax M5400
4. Itach Wifi to Serial for Projector, Wifi to IR for Grafik Eye, and IP POE to IR for rack.

Pics, coming soon, The speakers are AWESOME!

Here is some good information regarding the Marantz SR7008 network setup. So first off the SR7008 an MM7025 are an incredible duo together. Along with the Klipsch RF82 / RS52, after running audyssey and just putting a 48" LCD connected to a PS/3 I have reached the closest thing to audio nirvana I have ever experienced. My wife and I watched Oz which is in 7.1 DTS-HD and were truly blown away. OK enough of that.

So here's the thing - The SR7008 and cable modem / router combo such as the ARRIS which is typical Comcast, Time Warner, cable company fodder DO NOT play well together. I was going nuts trying to figure out why the receiver was on my LAN but could not reach the internet. So the short answer to this problem which I will elaborate on for anyone that needs help with this is. CABLE MODEM (BRIDGED MODE) --) INDEPENDENT ROUTER (WiFi) --> Gigabit POE switch (For AP's and any other devices you wish to connect via CAT6) I know this is not the place to dive into this so I won't but wanted anyone considering adding a Marantz receiver in a new construction to know this receiver rocks with services such as Pandora and will easily connect to the internet with the right configuration which may not be obvious to someone not networkingly inclined. Yea, I know that's not a word. smile.gif If you want more info PM me.

Next week should be a big week, Have everything inbound to complete this theater. I am happy to say, I'm WELL ahead of schedule and actually wen't over budget by only $39.01.

Received the RS4810 yesterday and took it for a brief test drive. My first impression was "WOW this thing is HUGE", it is not a small projector by any means. So after I got it unboxed I took it upstairs and placed it on an end table and watched a bond flick. I must say out of the box this projector is amazing. I am no expert so there will be alot of tweaking and learning I will be doing over the next few months. Check out the pics below. I also ordered the seating yesterday which will be delivered on Friday. My Oppo and Panamax will be delivered today as well. All of the Middle Atlantic rack components arrived this morning so the rest of this week will be building out the rack, wire management, hanging the projector, playing with iRule, and watching some movies! Finally!

Rack build out complete. Finished with all of the Middle Atlantic components last night, the only piece I am missing is the DUNE D1 which should be shipping anytime they tell me. Over 200 pcs of velcro and zip ties. Love the look. Should have the mount for the projector tomorrow and hopefully the adapter so I can get it hung this weekend.. Palliser Mendoza seating will be delivered tomorrow as well. ALMOST THERE!

It's been a few weeks since I have posted, mainly because my wife and I have been enjoying our new theater. I am at 99%. The screen wall panels are the last major item to check off. I see those happening in the next month or so.

In all this build took from 6/2/13 until 10/1/13 - Total out of pocket was just over $30K. I have to say, if it wasn't for this forum and guys like Spaceman and Big this would not have been possible. I have learned so much and am thankful for all of the help and great posts.

My to-do list looks pretty much like it did 10 months ago, so I wish you success in getting through your last few items. Looks great and I'm glad to hear everyone is enjoying it.

Thanks Spaceman! We are loving it. Yes, Perhaps a month is hopeful till ultimate completion, Once you start using the theater all you want to do is just use it and let the little things wait. I'm guilty for sure.

Friggin increadable! The time it took you to turn this into the great theater you now have is something in and of itself. Factor in the difficulty of the room and the quality of work done in such a short time, "you deserves medals". Enjoy
