I'm sourcing some through my HVAC contractor and wanted to know what people are paying generally for 1". He hasn't provided a price yet, since he's got to get it through his supplier who only sells to contractors. I'm in Nebraska.

I paid $146 for a 100' roll (.37/sf). My other quotes ranged from .55 to 1.17/sf. Certainteed Acoustablanket Black 150 & Knauf Sonic XP-1" x 4' x 100' are similar products that may also be available in your area for a comparable price. Both were running $172 in my area for a 100' roll.

Paid $235 for 4ft X 100ft roll, local pickup................but then again, I'm on the West Coast. Fabricmate has Linacoustic RC, but charges $150+ for 50 ft roll plus shipping.

I think mine was $180 or so, standard 4'x100' roll. I need to eventually sell my leftovers when I get time, probably only used about 40' of it.

Mine was purchased from a local HVAC place.

$185 for a 4' x 100' roll 2 years ago from local HVAC place. That was the lowest price. Others were $200-$250.

Best,
C.

Just bought some last week from Fabricmate.com - 4' x 100' 1" was $165.00 + $70 (Extortion) to Dallas. So in all I ended up at $235.00. I contacted Standard Supply in the DFW area and get ready for this, They quoted me $425 for a 4' x 100' roll. Won't be buying anything from them.

Budget? What's that?

With one 100ft roll being as big and awkward as it is.................$70 for shipping seems reasonable.

I too bought my fabric and track from Fabricmate.......................the Linacoustic RC was not cost effective so I purchased locally......plus they sold 50' rolls and I needed close to 150 linear feet.

Wow, Big is right, It was supposed to be a 50' roll, The sku I bought was SKU: FL481-50 however they did ship me a 100' roll. What is strange is 100' rolls are not available on their site, I just checked. Well every once in a while the pendulum swings the other way....

Budget? What's that?

Ugh. My HVAC contractor just quoted me $145 for 25'. Said that his supplier only deals with contractors, so I can't find out what the markup is. That's just crazy compared to the prices you guys are seeing. I'll have to call around for a better price. Any Nebraskans have any reputable vendors they could pass on to me?

I never had problems buying from suppliers before I had my contractors license. First you just need to act like one, walk in and ask for a roll and pay for it. When they ask who you work for just say you work for yourself. Use the JM website to find dealers in your area. Update there isn't a dealer in Nebraska

Man, I'm really jealous of East Coast construction material prices. It seems like everything I buy here in Phoenix costs notably more (sometimes 2x more) than the same product on the other side of the country.

I just got a 100' roll of Linacoustic RC from Farnsworth Wholesale in Mesa AZ for $260 + $20/tax = $280. Oof. Roughly $100 more than the East Coast price. Still beats how much 100' from Fabricmate would cost by quite a bit (not counting the extraordinary deal found above) but still..

Ah well. I'm glad I could find a place to sell it to me at all! Most of the shops locally are strictly wholesale only. Farnsworth is by name, but I was told that they do sell to homeowners and indeed they do.

Stopped at Bay Insulation in Kansas City last year and picked up a 100' roll for $230.00. Called in advance and had it held for me. They new I wasn't a contractor. The guy that loaded it in my truck actually asked if I was building an HT. Too funny!

Curiously, my Linacoustic is product number 900005510 (not 5514); is 47"; (not 48"); and is 391.6 sq ft (not 400.0).

Everything else looks the same on the label.
